The Catalyst Space, Long Beach is a community hub, resource, and learning center. It provides a place for people to broaden their connections and understanding of themselves, our community, and our world. It is a place that empowers catalysts, equips leaders, and resources neighbors and organizations with the means of advancing their goals. As a community of catalysts, this is "our" space.

We are strategically located in the East Village Arts District, downtown Long Beach at 430 E. 1st Street, Long Beach, CA 90802 between Elm Avenue and Linden Avenue.

Catalyst Space, Long Beach has multiple uses:

  • Meeting space for catalysts, Action Teams, and outside groups
  • Learning center for classes and workshops
  • Open studio for art shows, video & photo shoots, and sound events
  • Event location for dinners and activities
  • Promotions area for community information
  • Work-space for projects and studies
  • Gathering space for meeting up and building relationships
  • Open area for Yoga or meditation classes

Want to book the Catalyst Space, Long Beach for your meeting, class or event?

We've got:

  • Capacity for 25-30 people
  • Chairs, tables, couches
  • Wireless internet
  • Projector for transparencies (no LCD projector available)
  • Wall space to project transparencies or lap top video
  • Large screen television with DVD Player
  • Small fridge, dishes, cups and utensils (not a kitchen)
  • Toaster oven, microwave oven, blender
  • Restroom

The Catalyst Network of Communities is a Pay-What-You-Want organization. That means we don't charge a rental fee. Rather, we ask that AFTER you have used the Space, you consider the value that you feel you've received and you make a donation!

If you need a ballpark reference, we suggest $25/hr - but really, it's Pay-What-You-Want! (If the Space is available, that is.)
